Bringing together works in a salon style presentation that prioritizes cohesive vignettes and intriguing collaborations, the quarterly exhibitions at Salon Design showcase new series alongside existing work from artists and makers pushing the boundaries of material exploration while creating high-quality collectible design. With a gallery roster comprised by 80% women, Salon Design also aims to flip the gender dynamics of the art and design worlds, supporting the creative practices of women internationally.
Job Description:
Salon is looking for a Gallery Sales Representative to join our team. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for cultivating and managing relationships with high-value clients to drive sales and foster long-term connections on behalf of the business. Your primary objective will be to identify new potential clients, understand their needs, and provide exceptional custom service.
Core Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with high-value clients through regular communication, meetings, and networking events. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, handling inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a seamless customer experience. Proactively anticipate client needs and preferences to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
Sales Generation and Sales Cycle Management: Identify and pursue opportunities to generate sales revenue from existing and prospective clients. Working with the Gallery Director, develop strategic sales plans and initiatives to achieve sales targets and meet KPIs. (KPIs may include monthly, quarterly, or annual sales goals, sales meetings required per month + attending industry events and will be determined by the Gallery Director). Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients. Maintain accurate records of sales activities, leads, and opportunities in CRM software. Manage the sales pipeline effectively to prioritize tasks and maximize sales potential.
Self-Motivation and Organization: Be self-motivated and driven to achieve sales targets. Work independently to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines. Thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities and potential challenges. Use market insights to inform sales strategies and approaches
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1-2 years experience in a furniture showroom, collectible or fine art gallery with a focus in sales, is preferable
Proven track record of success in sales or customer-facing roles is preferable
A Bachelor’s Degree
Strong independent work ethic and self-motivation to achieve sales targets and goals
Precise attention to detail
Team player is a must! We're a small team so all hands on deck will be required at times
Great attitude, eager to learn
Passion for contemporary art and a commitment to supporting emerging and established artists.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite , Adobe Creative Suite and CRM software such as Pipedrive and/or Arternal, is a plus
Position: Full Time Permanent
Salary: $50,000.00 (Annual)
