Subtropic is a creative agency specializing in creative and production for a digital-first era. We work as a strike team of designers, producers and developers partnering with brands through stages of production to delivery. Our model pairs the speed and flexibility of an independent studio with the scale and consistency of a global agency.

We’re looking for a Creative Producer to join Team Subtropic. As a member of the team, you will work closely with our Designers, Art & Creative Directors and Business Teams as well as directly with external brands, agencies and production vendors. This role owns the full lifecycle of multiple concurrent video and design projects—from creative intake through final delivery—typically managing 10-15 active projects at a time. The ideal candidate is someone who can fully understand a creative ask, own it, and brief the creative team so clearly that artists never have to guess what they're building toward.

Contract-to-hire (3-6 months, with potential for full-time)

What You’ll Do:

  • Own the post-sale production process for visual and motion design projects from brief to final delivery

  • Intake projects, assess creative assets in Adobe Suite, and develop a complete understanding of the creative ask before it reaches the team

  • Brief visual designers, motion artists, and art directors thoroughly and accurately—translating client/business intent into a clear creative and technical brief

  • Serve as a direct point of contact for clients, vendors and internal teams: providing detailed quotes, timelines, and managing expectations throughout

  • Coordinate teams across a high volume of concurrent projects, delivering on time, within budget, and aligned to client objectives

  • Proactively flag and resolve creative or logistical issues before they become blockers

  • Secure final asset approval from client and agency partners

  • Partner with Operations and Leadership on resourcing and contractor/freelancer staffing


Minimum qualifications:

  • 3-5+ years experience in design/video production or project management in an agency environment

  • Solid working knowledge of video post-production workflows and terminology, and experience collaborating directly with motion designers/editors

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro)—able to open, review, and give informed feedback on working files

  • Comfortable managing 10+ concurrent projects at varying stages without dropping details

  • Freelancer and vendor management experience (sourcing, briefing, and managing contractor talent)

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills

  • Experience working independently across a cross-functional team of stakeholders, designers, and developers

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and rise to creative challenges under tight deadlines

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience


Preferred qualifications:

  • Live production experience (shoots, virtual production, or event/broadcast)

  • UGC or creator management experience (sourcing, briefing, and managing creator talent)

  • Familiarity with agile project management practices

  • Proficient in project management software such as Asana, Slack, and Monday.com
