ROLE SUMMARY
The Idea Girl is seeking Brand Design Interns to join our growing agency. This person will join an existing team of 12 people working directly with the Creative Team, Executive Assistant, and Project Manager on a daily basis. The Brand Design Interns will implement the direction given by Design Directors and Senior Designers for creating and refining renderings of design assets, layouts, and presentations.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
Part-time
$15 per hour
School Credit
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Must attend daily review briefs/meetings with the Creative Team and Project Manager. (NYC candidates will have priority over remote candidates).
Attend feedback meetings with clients.
Knowledge and assistance in the design execution of brand identity assets such as; presentation decks, verbal identity, brand guidelines, brand identity (logo, color, typography, product etc.).
Apply problem-solving skills to achieve unique solutions for design challenges.
Present design ideas to Design Directors and other internal team members.
Multitask a reasonable volume of multiple projects or tasks and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Utilize project management and cloud software to share files for review, submission, and communication with the Creative Team.
Provide daily EOD design reports for assigned tasks.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Graphic Design experience is a MUST.
Degree or experience in fields of Marketing, Content Creation, or Retail is a Plus!
Experience in various areas of design such as branding, web, digital, print, product, illustration and/or packaging design.
Must have great knowledge of Adobe Suites.
Must have great written and verbal communication skills.
Must have some knowledge of Asana, Clickup or other project management and planning software.
Must be organized and have the ability to multitask.
Presentation Ability: Establish effective demeanors and communication to influence one's point of view.
Quality Orientation: See details, grade them against a pre-set standard and identifies flaws to monitor the quality of work and make any necessary improvements.
Detail Orientation: Acute attention to detail, with an emphasis on consistency and continuity.
Must be punctual and attentive to deadlines, milestones, and due dates.
Has great understanding and conception of logo design, color theory, typography, compositions, layouts, etc.
Must have great grammar, punctuation, and spelling abilities.
Interested in fashion, beauty, and wellness brands designed to make the world a better place.
Must have a vibrant and warm personality; a quality team player that loves company culture and sisterhood.
Should have a similar design style to the brands we work with.
