The Lost Explorer is looking for a Studio and Customer Service Assistant.

We are a small, unique, creative and fun team based in Venice, CA. We’re looking for a new like-minded team member to fill a part-time customer service/studio assistant position. We’re looking for someone who cares about wellness, nature and doing good work, who is interested in working in a small but growing business in the wellness industry, and someone who will be passionate about being part of our team. This person will be integral in running our small, creative business and will make a meaningful contribution to our brand. As such, we’re looking for someone who is passionate, energetic, personable and friendly, organized, detail-oriented, reliable, trustworthy, able to manage multiple projects at once and all with impeccable attention to detail!

The opportunity is part-time, around 16-24 hours per week. The position is available immediately.

Ideal candidate:

  • Someone who loves to work independently and as part of a team

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Self motivated, carries a high attention to detail and a passion for process along with the ability to perform in a quickly moving environment

  • Background in customer service or sales / ideally have some e-commerce retail experience with experience and/or an understanding of retail stock and retail POS systems

  • A confident level of IT proficiency - Experience of Microsoft Office, Shopify and/or other eCommerce platforms advantageous

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Deal with customer queries regarding order status, and post-sale support in a timely, courteous and friendly manner.

  • Be a brand expert and knowledgeable about all our products

  • Analyze customer feedback and coordinate with management to continuously improve the shopping experience

  • Print orders from system and pull merchandise from the sales floor/stock

  • Ensure customer service standards are maintained when packing orders, ensure customers receive a perfectly fulfilled and beautifully packaged order

  • Organize shipping labels, commercial invoices (where necessary) and postal service pick up, ensuring accurate and timely shipping of orders to all customers

  • Manage incoming and outgoing retail and wholesale orders (invoicing, payment processing, shipping).

  • Maintain order management systems and prioritize orders

  • Arrange wholesale Ex works collections via UPS

  • Ensure customers and wholesale accounts receive tracking information for shipments

  • Process refunds and exchanges on the system

  • Help maintain retail stock levels replenishing, sorting, inspecting and counting inventory

  • Maintain a clean and neat e-commerce work area – ensure that packing materials are kept well stocked.

  • Help manage day to day operations in our small, creative studio

  • Evaluate and develop office and production processes to maximize efficiency

  • Receive and distribute incoming mail/packages

  • Organize supplies and run office errands

  • Provide additional administrative support to all departments as needed
