Here are some email templates tailored to your specific needs—whether you're reaching out about a specific job opening or expressing interest in working at the company regardless of current vacancies.

“Hi [their name],
[your name] here, I’m a social media [your title]. I’ve been following your brand/accounts for a while and noticed you had an opening for [social role] and I’m super confident I would be an excellent fit. I love the way you [their current content or strategy] and I had an idea for you to take it to the next level—have you ever thought about [recommendation for something you’d improve]?

Alternative that includes the Job Description
Add in: “I see you’re looking for someone who can [a bullet from JD]. At my previous/current role, I [your previous duties] and [your previous duties], increasing their [some kind of output] from [starting] to [ending result].”
Note: If no experience, pick a bullet that resonates with you and how you can tie it into personal experience:
“I’m dedicated to honing in on my skills in art direction and created this mood board that I think would lend itself nicely to your next social content shoot.”Alternative that doesn’t look like they are looking

First Follow-Up
“Hi! I’m sure you’re busy but just bumping this up in your inbox. I’m super excited for the opportunity to work together/for your brand! I saw this [article/trend/post] and it made me think of how [brand/company] could be doing [recommended strategy or concept]. Would love to chat more - hope to hear from you soon!”
Last & final email then hold off for a few months.
I mute people’s messages if they send more than 3 unanswered emails:“Hi, just checking in one last time - fingers crossed! If now’s not a good time, you can always reach me at my email here or [phone number]. Thank you!”
