I took the Squarespace Design Course because I wanted to gain experience designing websites and creating templates for others to use.

While taking the course, I learned that I really enjoy the idea of designing websites based on music and colorful spaces. I want to create more websites that revolve around creative arts and musical expression to inspire others to create more.

My favorite part of the course was making the custom website. I had a lot of trouble narrowing down one specific theme for the record store, but I ultimately decided to go with a combination of inspirations and googled a ton of different javascript code to try new fun elements on Squarespace.

My advice to someone thinking about taking the course would be to take the class as well as Google a bunch of new things related to Squarespace template generation and you will be really inspired to join the bandwagon of creators in the field.

One good thing that’s come out of the course for me is proof of design capabilities and the desire to create even more different websites.
