It has been such a game changer in the way I look at finances in general. Caroline is the perfect financial advisor for this type of class, caring and kind, but also down to get into the weeds with you!
When I came across the Finance Friends Forever course, it felt like I’d found what I was looking for. It was a course that encompassed much of what I had been focusing my attention on and spending lots of energy trying to figure out on my own. I kept showing up in financial spaces where I was a step (or 100) away from everyone else. It felt like the information wasn’t applicable to my situation or required costly investment to gain access to the full scope. OR, it felt like the info was coming from the institutions who had incentive to attract your business rather than educate and expand your understanding.
I wanted to be able to ask someone questions directly. But, finding the right person willing to answer my personal questions was just as hard as finding the right information. Caroline and Money Club dive deep into the uncomfortable, but give plenty of information to guide you through. It feels like you have a friend who knows all about money stuff and knows you, so can give you insight that just isn’t available anywhere else. It’s like having a personal trainer, but for money.
For me, Finance Friends Forever is thorough, accessible and contains LOTS of information about all aspects of financial literacy. It contains definitions and terminology so you can build foundations. But, it also contains real life examples that are discussed at length, giving insight and a dose of reality to money talks - which can be scary and easier to ignore than dive into.
Where most instructors or advisors go general, avoiding the vulnerability of revealing their own financial life, Caroline and Puno give you actual screenshots of their accounts. They dive deep into discussing exactly what they experience and then apply it to more general examples. It feels invaluable to be taught not only about gatekept financial information, but also about how to discuss it and share information about it. It’s a whole paradigm shift and I am here for it.
