Instagram Content Planning Course Student
I decided to head down the online social media marketing [path] when I realized that I had limited engagement on Etsy that depended on their SEO and even more limited engagement on Instagram. There were certain things I wanted to communicate about various identities and concepts that I was having trouble describing to others (especially online) and realized they needed to be described more when it came to viewers/followers engagement.
Learning about genuine engagement and not forcing connections with one's potential audience has been really affirming. There are a lot of "middle men" on Instagram that pressure people who sell products to pay them for advertising and when you have such few followers you may start to think that's a good idea, but it's not. The Instagram content planning course proves that. Everyone's perspective was niche but interconnected in some way. It was like everyone was a part of one of those Dodecahedron dice where everyone has similar interests just coming from different places.
Favorite? The Self- Auditing aspect of the course as well as being part of an online community of creatives has been really encouraging. Really looking at what's working and what is not for my business allowed me to see which areas stand to improve. For example, my hashtags tend to be plentiful and generic, creating an opportunity for reaching spammers and not a potential audience. Going forward I need to do more research and choose more niche hashtags. Thank you for letting me be a part of the discord community- I look forward to learning more from you all."
