Rachel, a creative I've watched for years, was what first drew me to this course. To learn directly from one of your favorites is a dream you don't get to experience very often in life. I had felt more confident with film photography and wanted to move into exploring motion in a similar nostalgic realm. I wasn't able to join the digital retreat the first time around so I was very diligent about keeping up-to-date on when the next retreat would be because I felt I would get the most out of the class learning in real-time from Rachel and Puno.
Wow! This was such a heart-warming and impactful learning experience for me. It's hard to pick one favorite thing, so I'll pick 2. Firstly, my favorite was going to Rachel's office hours every week. She was so attentive to our questions and answered with such honesty that you felt she was really letting you into her world. I love the way she processes and sees the world and then aims to express that through her work. My second favorite part was meeting such amazing, creative, and genuine people. I've become close with many people in the class in such a short time span. We're all so different but this class brought us together in such a beautiful way. I haven't had this experience with an online course before.
The Premiere Pro videos saved me! The best tutorials to learn from, really.
The videos made it very digestible because they were short clips to teach you skills that were immediately applicable to my own video I was creating. I felt very accomplished with each finish of a clip. Highly recommend doing all the videos before you start editing!
