I discovered the Creative Copywriter Course at a time when I was wondering how to turn my love for writing into something more. At first I wasn't sure if I had what it takes to be copywriter, so I thought dipping my toes into the CCC was a great way to figure it out. Although I can see room for improvement, I'm coming out on the other side confident in my ability and determined to make my goal of working online become a reality.
I've mainly learned I don't need to take feedback too personally, and moving forward I need to remind myself feedback is given to improve my work. After my first portfolio review, I realized I can get a bit carried away with trying to be too creative and clever with my copy. I tried to take Tasha's feedback on board as much as I can to make the changes I need.
There are many favourite things I can highlight about this course. Working through the assignments and coming out with a portfolio I can actually use to gain clients. Gaining skills and knowledge of what goes into a real life copywriting brief. Getting actionable feedback from Caitland and Tasha. Both ladies being on hand to answer my silly questions 😁
So much value can be gained from this course. You'll learn so many skills and best of all the course is self-paced, making your goals of becoming a copywriting easier to reach around all your other commitments. I love that I can start reaching out to clients right away. The second best thing was learning how to write cold emails, since reaching out to potential clients makes me super nervous.
