I've been looking to make a career shift into graphic design, and taking this course has helped me tremendously. It's strengthened both my technical skills and my confidence as a designer.

I took the Graphic Design Course because as a very recent post grad that graduated with a BFA in Illustration and is still preparing her illustration portfolio, I decided to pivot to design or at least expand my scope to design. I wanted to continue my education and learn something a bit more practical.

I would say go for it to anyone thinking about taking the course. As a starting point in my design journey, it was very helpful.

I loved getting feedback from Sarah and Mindy! It felt great to get feedback from experienced professionals who do this work for a living. Their comments and suggestions went a long way. Taking the course without them just would have left me feeling uncertain of if what I was making would actually survive in the "real design world."

I can see the uplift in my designing immediately after completing the modules and becoming more familiar with the tools. My colleagues have noticed too!

I've come out of the course feeling confident enough to say 'I'm a graphic designer' which is something I never would have believed at the start of the course!

I loved how practical the course is is, how it was never boring, and I loved that I could sense ilovecreatives actually wants more designers in the world. This course wasn't gatekeeping anything! It was generous in EVERY sense possible.

My favorite thing about the course was the tone. It really felt like I was learning a lot but in such a playful way. That made it so easy to absorb the material and want to jump into the videos / homework after doing a 8 hours at a day job.

My favorite thing about the course is the hands on approach that allows me to learn by creating and experimenting. If you're thinking about taking the course, I would say go for it. Stay committed, practice often, and don't compare yourself to others. Growth comes from showing up and applying what you learn.
