Q What do you do?
Q What steps did you take to get to where you are now?
Been a life-long student of Chinese tea culture since 2009. Transitioned into UX/UI during 2014/15 whilst simultaneously becoming a dad. Began offering my 'slow tea' mindfulness experience module to teams & organizations in 2016. Started podcasting in 2019. Got certifications as a digital wellbeing educator in 2020 & emotional wellbeing coach in 2021. Life is messy -- straight lines are for maps.
Q How do you stand out in your field?
Being mixed race and having an eclectic background helps ground me in this undefined field.
Q What are you working on right now?
Q What’s your style?
see previous answer :-)
Q Out of all your slashies, which one do you wish you could do more often?
Wish I could focus more on course development & speaking (maybe even writing a book) but am too busy being a parent and running your own business.
Q What is frustrating you right now?
The popularity contest of socials and SEO optimization.
Q If you could hire someone for $20/hour, what would you have them do to make your day easier?
Help me create a course and write a book.
Q What do you wish you could have told yourself, when, and why?
Being the kid with a high ACE score (adverse childhood event) would prove useful against an uncertain world.
Q If you could talk to an expert to gain more insight on something, what would it be about?
How to raise a media literate daughter in a society that is stripping her of her reproductive human rights.
Q What kind of opportunities/projects are you looking for?
Team building, on-site activations, off-site retreats, mindfulness programming, slow living events, tastings / workshops, digital habits course-building, speaking engagements regarding digital wellbeing / facilitating slow tea experiences, podcast interviews.
Q Describe your ideal job/client/collaboration.
As 2023 comes to an end, I'm reflecting on tea activations I was privileged to facilitate on-site with organizations like IDEO, Children's Hospital Los Angeles and Spotify as well as facilitating slow tea at a retreat in partnership with Muy House. In an age of increasing digital overwhelm it's clear that slow and meaningful shared experiences with other people over tea are the future.
Q: What is your rate?
Tea activations range from $250 - $1,500 based on group size and other variables.
Speaking engagements are $500 for a 1-hour talk.
1-on-1 coaching packages are $397 for 3 sessions.

Q Who is a creative you admire?

Q Oh! and… how do you stay creative?
by drinking good tea and consciously raising my daughter
