Q What do you do?

I set a tone and create a space, in a nutshell.

As an Art Director, I work to make sure each element of a given project is tonally accurate –feels right, looks right, sounds right, smells right.

Q What steps did you take to get to where you are now?

I started out in branding, working as the Brand Marketing Manager at Crown Affair. In that role, I wore many hats, one of which was as Art Director... and here we are.

Q How do you stand out in your field?

I'm scrappy. I'll make it happen, even if we have to fake it to get there.

Q What are you working on right now?

I'm currently working full-time at Tanya Taylor, a contemporary women's fashion brand, as the Art Director.

Q What’s your style?

My style is off-kilter, detailed, vintage.
My perspective is that every project needs a story.
My taste is old French.

Q Out of all your slashies, which one do you wish you could do more often?

I wish I could jump into the prop designer pond more!

Q What is frustrating you right now?

Not frustrating, but challenging... to manifest the kinds of clients I think would most benefit from my perspective!

Q If you could hire someone for $20/hour, what would you have them do to make your day easier?

Organize my Pinterest...

Q What do you wish you could have told yourself, when, and why?

Leap, and a net will appear.

Q If you could talk to an expert to gain more insight on something, what would it be about?

How to take big risks and be bold without getting discouraged.

Q What kind of opportunities/projects are you looking for?

Art direction and branding work that incorporates photography and design to create a cohesive story.

Q Describe your ideal job/client/collaboration.

I love to be trusted, but given guidance. Any client that can provide me a strong foundation for what they like (and don't like) and then hand over reigns is one I love.

Q: What is your rate?

Please email for enquiries, but know that I'm looking for big and small opportunities and very open to be flexible!

Q How should someone approach you about working together?

Please email me with a quick introduction to the project and a bit about yourself.

Q Who is a creative you admire?

Martina Keenan - Photographer

Q Oh! and… how do you stay creative?
