Q What do you do?

I love to do motion graphics, animation, illustration and editing.

Q What steps did you take to get to where you are now?

I went to Parsons The New School for Design where I studied Design and Technology. I love to brainstorm ideas and gather references. I tried to take classes and do tutorials on the side. I interned at Marvel and worked at Tory Burch and MAC Cosmetics.

Q How do you stand out in your field?

I think being an African American woman that has worked in a wide range of different types of companies/styles has made me very curious and has helped me produce intriguing work.

Q What are you working on right now?

I work at Case Agency. It's a creative agency in Soho that specializes in celebrity beauty/skincare brands.

Q What’s your style?

x

Q Out of all your slashies, which one do you wish you could do more often?

I work at Case Agency. It's a creative agency in Soho that specializes in celebrity beauty/skincare brands.

Q What is frustrating you right now?

I want to focus on my leadership skills and having confidence. I suffer from Imposter Syndrome. I get nervous speaking up and staying organized.

Q If you could hire someone for $20/hour, what would you have them do to make your day easier?

I would have someone organize and put together my schedule. I would love to have every video asset and copy/script already done. So the only the for me to do is create. I enjoy searching for inspiration. I really don't like searching for video assets and writing copy or fake copy.

Q What do you wish you could have told yourself, when, and why?

I wish I could have really understood and seen how talented I was younger. I wish I realized my self-worth and how I deserve more than the treatment I have gotten in at companies past.

Q If you could talk to an expert to gain more insight on something, what would it be about?

I would love a mentor that understood the struggles of being a woman of color in the motion design industry. I have a lot of skills but I'm not a master. It gets frustrating because sometimes I feel like I should be further in my career with the number of skills I have. I lack confidence and organization which has held me back a lot.

Q What kind of opportunities/projects are you looking for?

Fun short-form video projects for sure.

Q Describe your ideal job/client/collaboration.

I would love a client that is really interested in bringing something new into the world. Someone that is flexible and wants to establish a fun new voice not based on their ego but based on bringing people together.

Q: What is your rate?

$75/hour

Q How should someone approach you about working together?

Call, text, email or DM me

Q Who is a creative you admire?

Kelly Washington. She does 3D modeling in blender and creates AR filter.

Q Oh! and… how do you stay creative?

Look, Listen, Appreciate, Build, Grow, Love
