Q What do you do?

I help bring ideas to life or illuminate something that already exists. With extensive experience in photo/event production, artist/brand marketing and partnerships, I understand a creative vision and the steps needed to turn it into a tangible experience.

I have: built creative decks, designed invitations, managed timelines, redesigned websites, shot film photos, edited videos, led social accounts, written artist’s bios or captions. I’m pretty adaptable at filling in the holes needed in the creative process.

Q What steps did you take to get to where you are now?

*Sparked by interest in entertainment (moved to LA)

Music video production → Shark Tank → my own brand (The SunnyLion) – big ad agency (72 & Sunny) → smaller creative agency (Friends Everywhere) → Art/music marketing

+plus following my nose.

I think experience led content prioritizing feeling is the best promotion for any brand or artist because it is the most authentic

Q How do you stand out in your field?

Doing it differently, building on ideas, and kindling good energy

Q What are you working on right now?

Marketing/design for fiber artist Makena Andros of URGF, creating custom illustrations for a wedding invitation, taking a digital marketing course with ilovecreatives!

Q What’s your style?

My style is people-centric. I draw mainly people, I take photos of people, I care mostly about the people attending an event or featured in a campaign. People’s style and stories dictate the aesthetic and energy.

My favorite projects have been with artists I admire like musicians LA Qoolside, Isabella Innis, and Makena Andros. That combined with monochromatic outfits, film photography, musician tour posters, paintings by Danielle Mckinney/Noah Davis, New Yorker illustrations and Crap eyewear.

Q Out of all your slashies, which one do you wish you could do more often?

Artist marketing for releases and shows

Q What is frustrating you right now?

Collaborative creative decision-making can be frustrating when working remotely

Q If you could hire someone for $20/hour, what would you have them do to make your day easier?

Someone more financially savvy and knowledgeable in insurance and industry regulations

Q What do you wish you could have told yourself, when, and why?

I would tell myself now to be less self-critical

Q If you could talk to an expert to gain more insight on something, what would it be about?

How to feel and be seen as a professional

Q What kind of opportunities/projects are you looking for?

More opportunities working with artists I love

Q Describe your ideal job/client/collaboration.

Working on collaborations with cool brands partnering with cool musicians and artists. eg Brain Dead x Faye Webster

Q What is your rate?

$55 hourly
$1500 monthly retainer
$200 for invitations/flyers

Q How should someone approach you about working together?

Text or email me what you’re working on and what you need help with! If I can’t do it, I know someone who can. I really do love the creative process.

Q Who is a creative you admire?

Anna Mills *best typography studies
Harry Wright *fun playful designs
Sophy Hollington *talented linocut artist
Chase Shewbridge *best design skills in LA
CPFC Studio *best photoshoots

Q Oh! and… how do you stay creative?

Walk, walk, walk. Most ideas live just beyond your door: on a billboard, in a song, during an interaction.
