Q What do you do?
“I design Squarespace websites for thoughtful brands & creatives seeking an online space as unique as their work.”
In other words, I design for brands who aren't afraid to play with bold colors, type & layouts.
Q What steps did you take to get to where you are now?
After graduating with a BA in Visual Arts & Ecofeminism, I started trying out all kinds of freelance work. I mean, you kind of have to do your thing with a degree like that! Plus I designed my own degree, so it seemed like a good move to design my own business too.
It wasn’t until I found the ilovecreatives Squarespace design course though, that I really felt passionate and excited about building a business around my skills. Since then, I’ve been learning all I can about web design & business to launch Studio Önd, my Squarespace design studio.
Q How do you stand out in your field?
I love experimenting and pushing the boundaries with playful and unexpected elements in my designs, which I think makes for more immersive and memorable websites. That combined with understanding the journey my client wants their website to lead their audience through is how I stand out.
Q What are you working on right now?
Right now, I'm building out my template shop so I can make my designs more accessible, and I'm also working on growing a virtual creative community, the Make It Fun Club
Q What’s your style?
My work is inspired by the calmness and warmth of Scandinavian minimalism, with playful touches like unique typography, layout, colors and animations sprinkled throughout. My website is a good example of this design aesthetic.
Q Out of all your slashies, which one do you wish you could do more often?
I’d love to do more photography, specifically film photography! The only thing that’s stopping me is a broken film camera I haven’t taken the time to fix.
Q What is frustrating you right now?
Networking and showing up online! I find myself doing a lot of over-thinking when it comes to these two.
Q If you could hire someone for $20/hour, what would you have them do to make your day easier?
I’d have them help with social media! Connecting online is awesome but I’m always trying to find more ways to be offline.
Q What do you wish you could have told yourself, when, and why?
I would tell myself to just start trying things, failing and seeing where it takes you, instead of trying to avoid failure.
Q If you could talk to an expert to gain more insight on something, what would it be about?
I’d love to talk to other successful designers and creatives and learn how they started and how they scaled their businesses.
Q What kind of opportunities/projects are you looking for?
I’m looking for custom Squarespace web design projects!

I’d love to work with sustainable & vegan brands, creative entrepreneurs, artists of all kinds or just anyone who resonates with my design aesthetic.
