“I’m a branding + web designer dedicated to making the world a better place. ”
I own an agency called Play & Public, we’re rooted in soul + purpose and we work with conscious individuals + brands who are Freedom Getters™ and innovators of the world around them. First and foremost, we’re a team and we work together. When working with us, we help you find the vision for your brand through deep and honest conversations. This is where we really start laying the foundation of who you are and how your brand wants to be perceived to your dream clients. We then take those conversations and create your brands’ visual story through the creation of logo marks, colors, type and supporting graphics. Then the real fun begins! Taking the holistic approach to your brand, we bring all of the elements outlined in the branding phase and bring them into your website, social or other marketing materials based on your business’ needs. Working with us is playful, purposeful and downright FUN 🥳
WHAT STEPS DID YOU TAKE TO GET TO WHERE YOU ARE NOW?
I grew up with a Mom that was a graphic designer and also owned her own business. I guess I knew from an early age I had an appetite for creativity. I did the traditional route of going to a 4 year college at Portland State University for graphic design with an emphasis in interactive design. I then worked at my first social media agency right out of school and then my second. Social never felt enough for me. I wanted to get to the “meat” of the “why?” and the person and message behind the content I was creating. Then one day, I said, “NO, this is not enough,” and Play & Public was birthed. “Play,” my overall mood towards life (We all take life too seriously, let’s find the joy again!) and “Public” taking the interests of all of the conscious communities out there and the dreamers who want to make change in this world for the better. I see you. I want to SUPPORT YOU.
How do you stand out in your field?
The creation of a brand, especially one very close to your heart, can be so exhilarating! But also scary as shit! Here at Play & Public, we support you through the transitions of these creations. Think coaching meets best friends meets creative bad-assery.
WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON RIGHT NOW?
A branding and web design project for a therapy hub in Portland, OR. Another web design project for a movement specialist dedicated to finding the right forms of exercise for you. Ones that work for your body and not against it! AND of course, putting a real focus on developing and building out Play & Public for 2020. It’s going to be a big year! Cannot wait to see it evolve and grow.
WHAT'S YOUR STYLE/PERSPECTIVE/TASTE? DO YOU HAVE A PROJECT THAT REPRESENTS THIS?
I love delightful designs and always lean more into playful typography, bold colors and abstract shapes. I always want my clients and their clients to feel delightfully surprised.

Branding, Web Design (custom Squarespace sites or not) and social or marketing material creation with conscious creators and innovators of the world around them.

I love working with clients who have a great sense of humor and are super passionate about their brand and the change they want to create in the world. I also love when there is a flow of energy exchange that feels like we’re always on the same page. It also really helps when our visual aesthetics are aligned.
WHAT IS YOUR HOURLY RATE, RETAINER, OR SALARY RANGE?
It depends on the project and the client. I also offer payment and package plans. Branding projects start at $3,000 Web Design starts at $3,500 Hourly starts at $125.
