WHAT DO YOU DO?

Internet all day, everyday!

I’m a web designer and content creator for small brands and businesses. My company is Laterwolf. It’s a combo of my married name, and my maiden name; Revoir + Lupo = Laterwolf.

Also, for the past seven years, I’ve worked with some of the biggest names in automotive as a digital art director in ad agencies in Detroit.

WHAT STEPS DID YOU TAKE TO GET TO WHERE YOU ARE NOW?

I went the traditional route; I got a BFA at a top art school in order to get a creative job that wouldn’t feel like a job. It’s cool most of the time, but the schedule gets mundane, and I don’t have as much creative freedom as I’d like.

So, I started a side business building websites for small brands. With my art direction background, I can do a lot more, too. The plan is that one day my side business will become a full-time gig!

How do you stand out in your field?

I was raised by a small-business owner, so I’m just as excited about your company or brand as you. I understand this is your baby, your family, your BAE. Therefore, I really care that I am building a web presence that is working for you.

WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON RIGHT NOW?

I’ve been working with a diverse range of clients, but one thing they have in common is that they are all small businesses with busy schedules, so they don’t have a lot of time to build a website themselves.

I’m also researching how to start blogging. People always ask me about vitamins and food since I’m a health nut, so I thought “why not try blogging?” Look out for healthness.blog going live in 2020.

WHAT'S YOUR STYLE/PERSPECTIVE/TASTE? DO YOU HAVE A PROJECT THAT REPRESENTS THIS?

I’m a minimalist with maximalist tendencies. Sometimes I just need to explore to figure out what feels right, but ultimately, I try to ask myself “what is just decoration and how much can be removed?” I never want the design to interfere with the information, but I want you to feel the vibe I’m casting. It kinda becomes a balancing act.

WE ARE ALL SLASHIES WITH MULTIPLE SKILLS, WHICH ONE DO YOU WISH YOU COULD DO MORE OFTEN?

One of my goals is to shoot unique photography for my clients that will stand out and be Pinterest-worthy. I can shoot straight-forward images for your site, but I want to get better at the type of photography that is more akin to art.

WHAT IS FRUSTRATING YOU RIGHT NOW?

Everyone is super busy, but ghosting is gettin' outta control! I'm occasionally guilty of this (because I just sometimes forget 😬) , but I try really hard to respond to people, even if it’s just a “thank you for your time but…”

Time will forever be my nemesis. I wish sleep was optional, but for so many reasons, you need a lot of it (it’s really important people, SLEEP!)

Maybe people ghost because they don’t have time? 🤯

IF YOU COULD HIRE SOMEONE FOR $20/HR, WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE THEM DO TO MAKE YOUR DAY EASIER?

I’m a health nut, so I need all the help I can get in order to eat three meals a day where one isn’t a microwavable Amy’s meal or a protein bar. Any vegan chefs need a website?

LET'S BRING OUT THE TIME MACHINE. WHAT DO YOU WISH YOU COULD HAVE TOLD YOURSELF, WHEN, AND WHY?

There was a time after college when I couldn’t find a job in my field. I graduated top of my class and I had a really clear five-year plan. But it wasn’t happening quick enough for me. So here’s a note to my past self, “Don’t worry about the future so much, because when you get that thing you thought you wanted, you’ll want something else. Keep setting goals and trying to grow.”

IF YOU COULD TALK TO AN EXPERT TO GAIN MORE INSIGHT ON SOMETHING, WHAT WOULD IT BE ABOUT?

Taxes for small businesses...and any and all the tips on how to run a business efficiently.

WHAT KIND OF OPPORTUNITIES/PROJECTS ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?

Websites, content creation and social media are what I am specializing in now. So for those who aren’t inclined to do that, or don’t have the time—hit me up at info@laterwolf.com.

DESCRIBE YOUR IDEAL JOB/CLIENT/COLLABORATION.

Did I mention I’m a health nut? Anything in that realm would be so much fun! I love all those mail order subscription products that are being developed in the wellness space. Nice palettes? Playful fonts? Fun imagery? Yes, add to cart!

WHAT IS YOUR HOURLY RATE, RETAINER, OR SALARY RANGE?

My rate is flexible. I could build your entire site, or keep up the maintenance so you never have to login. Or, I could be your yoda and guide you through it at an hourly rate. We can meet somewhere in the middle, too.

Taking a guess, I’d say I can make a site that is a single page for around $500, or three to five pages for about $1500. If you need photos, logos, or branding, I can do that, too. To get a personalized estimate, request an a la carte menu at www.laterwolf.com/pricing.

HOW SHOULD SOMEONE APPROACH YOU ABOUT WORKING TOGETHER?

For any basic info, email me at info@laterwolf.com. To get right down to business, go to Laterwolf.com and fill out the form on the pricing page. I’ll get some basic info from you, and then more details so we are on the same page for the estimate (that’s a pun because I’ll send you a google doc to fill out. But don’t worry, I don’t pun often).

HOW DO YOU STAY CREATIVE?

It just comes naturally to me.
