Q What do you do?
Q What steps did you take to get to where you are now?
After graduating from the London College of Fashion, I worked under a New York-based Fashion & Beauty Photographer as her travelling assistant. This time provided invaluable mentorship and the confidence to build my own freelance photography business. Through the years, I have worked as a Senior Retoucher for a global womenswear company in Vancouver, B.C. and have developed a robust portfolio from working with established and emerging beauty, lifestyle, wellness and skincare brands.
Q How do you stand out in your field?
Having been a part of both large corporate marketing teams and small agile freelance teams within the fashion industry, I understand the investment clients are making and why they are making them. Pre and post-production is a key strength of mine, as I've developed a sharp eye for detail, effective streamlined processes, and creative strategies to work within unique constraints and tight timelines. I have had a hand in everything including: creative concepting; casting; pre-production; copywriting; photography; post-production; and content creation, all of which come together to build successful marketing campaigns. Coupling my collaborative spirit with my collective experiences, I am capable of providing strategic recommendations while taking direction and soliciting feedback along the way.
Q What are you working on right now?
In my spare time, I am exploring visual storytelling themes of beauty, movement, and wine-making.
Q What’s your style?
My work has been described as luminous, clean, dynamic, sunny, strong, calm and feminine. I love to create serene and playful imagery that utilizes harmonious colour components.
Q Out of all your slashies, which one do you wish you could do more often?
Photography and Art Direction.
Q What kind of opportunities/projects are you looking for?
I am focused primarily on visual storytelling for brands, developing creative and compelling e-commerce product photography, and photographing more beauty, skincare, wellness and activewear in e-commerce and lifestyle contexts.
Q Describe your ideal job/client/collaboration.
My ideal type of projects are ones where I can contribute to the creative development and concepting of the visuals in collaboration with the client. I love working closely with the creative team either in-studio or on location to develop ideas and further elevate the creative concepts for visual communications.
Q What is your rate?
Every project is different and therefore every quote is different. Depending on the clients' needs, they can expect the price to range between $510-$2,600.
Q How should someone approach you about working together?
Q Who is a creative you admire?
Kelsie Kanuf is an incredible Art Director. Some of my favourite projects in my portfolio are ones I have worked on with her
