Q What do you do?

I photograph maternity, newborn, children and families.

Q What steps did you take to get to where you are now?

I have traveled across the country for a 4 day intensive workshop and driven hundreds of miles to attend other workshops. I have also spent hundreds of hours learning online.

Q How do you stand out in your field?

I strive to make pictures a stress free experience by offering a client closet, making clients comfortable, and learning to work well with small children.

Q What are you working on right now?

l am currently working on growing my business and redoing my website.

Q What’s your style?

I have a true to life style that is more formal and less lifestyle. I am striving to provide a high-end luxury experience.

Q Out of all your slashies, which one do you wish you could do more often?

I wish I could focus more on perfecting my newborn posed photos.

Q What is frustrating you right now?

The most frustrating thing is my SEO and not ranking on Google despite trying and watching a lot of videos. I started blogging and adjusted all my H1, H2 tags, etc and still am not ranking well!

Q If you could hire someone for $20/hour, what would you have them do to make your day easier?

I would have them do my SEO and clean my house!

Q What do you wish you could have told yourself, when, and why?

I would have told myself to study abroad in college because I will never get the chance to do that again! It would have been a once in a lifetime experience.

Q If you could talk to an expert to gain more insight on something, what would it be about?

Finding a manufacturer for a product and starting a clothing business from the ground up.

Q What kind of opportunities/projects are you looking for?

I am looking for new maternity, newborn and/or family clients.

Q Describe your ideal job/client/collaboration.

My ideal client is a married couple who is expecting or recently had a newborn. Preferably expecting their first child or have one younger child already. I would also love to work with a children's boutique to photograph their clothing lines.

Q: What is your rate?

My price point for maternity, newborn and family sessions start at $450. For commercial work the rate would be around $250-$300/hour depending on the scope and expectations of the job.

Q How should someone approach you about working together?

I would love if they would email me with the project/session, date, timeline and a fun fact about themselves!

Q Who is a creative you admire?

Jodi Schaffan

Q Oh! and… how do you stay creative?

I don't go full time and do it because I enjoy it.
