Q What do you do?

I’m a multi-skill Visual designer specializing in packaging, Branding Identity, and illustration.

I’m a joyful and hear-warmer building and visualizing brand identity through packaging, graphic, and motion design. I love starting with user research, being target-centric, and crafting concept design to create an impressive experience. I never stopped looking for opportunities and am excited to learn new skills to support my endless creativity.

Q What steps did you take to get to where you are now?

"After graduating in industrial design in Bangkok, Thailand, I worked as a Creative Designer in a marketing agency, where I transformed into visualizing and concept designer for marketing strategy. I had many various projects, such as social media, Instagram AR filters, brand identity, and packaging design, which I enjoyed the most. Apart from my design career, I produced myself as an illustrator bringing a heart-warming and humorous attitude as Patsam, my pen name.
I had an opportunity to run a Hackathon branding workshop bringing a value hand-made product from the local community into the market in Thailand which drives my passion for Branding and Packaging design. This broad me to study master’s degree majoring in Packaging, Identity, and System design at Pratt Institute. I’m back to school, gaining more ideas from new places and diverse cultures like NYC. I have a chance to level up my 3D modeling, structural, and visual design skills. I am still a freelancer working on branding and illustration with small businesses and startups

Q How do you stand out in your field?

With My background, I have a wide range of branding, design research, graphic design, and art direction. I can bring the possibility for clients in digital products, printing, and structural terms. I have a positive attitude with an empathetic mindset, so you will feel like working with a good companion who gives the best solution for you. Plus, I’m a fast-deliver. No worry about the timeline :X

Q What are you working on right now?

After quitting my full-time job, I spend most of my time as a freelance designer and illustrator. The project I’m working on is rebranding and designing a new packaging set for Oldschoolbrownies, a brownie brand from Bangkok. I’m still open to any illustration commissions and projects!

Q What’s your style?

“A Good-humored, heart-warmer, and joyful” always come up when I start a new project or bring an idea or mood board. I like something based on storytelling or a design concept, especially in New York City, where I gain so much scent of humor and creative idea.
I like to find a new color combination for my design project, showing some scent of bright and lively. Currently, I like to find inspiration from vintage vinyl covers or book covers, or even color schemes from the window shop.

Q Out of all your slashies, which one do you wish you could do more often?

I would love to focus more on motion and interactive design to better visualize my branding or packaging design project.

Q What is frustrating you right now?

As I just moved to New York to study and am pretty new here, it’s out of my comfort zone to find new connections and markets. So, I need to gain so much energy to promote myself and let everyone here know me!

Q If you could hire someone for $20/hour, what would you have them do to make your day easier?

Behind-the-scenes manager, someone who can document my work progress and post it on my work account because I’m always very into work and forget to record some of them when I’m working.

Q What do you wish you could have told yourself, when, and why?

I’d encourage myself to be more confident and eager to express my idea. Also, be an outgoing person exploring new places before the pandemic starts because you had to only stay in the house for a year.

Q If you could talk to an expert to gain more insight on something, what would it be about?

I’d want to ask about balancing clients’ needs without losing self-style and self-promotion. These are two things I’ve been figuring out for a while.

Q What kind of opportunities/projects are you looking for?

As a food and coffee lover, I wish I could do something in a set for a restaurant or a café like a festive season packaging, interactive menu, or coffee bean bag.

Q Describe your ideal job/client/collaboration.

Actually, I always find enjoyment in almost any kind of collaboration, client, or project—especially food and fashion categories. I wish I could have a project in which I can combine different industries, for example, music with restaurants or some fashion clothing brand with dessert.

Q What is your rate?

For my freelance work, my typical rate is 65$ an hour. Although, my rate may vary depending on the clients, scope, type of projects, and timeline.

Q How should someone approach you about working together?

I always stay active on the email. So, just kindly email me and tell me who you are, what you will do, what you need me to support you, and your timeline. When I read any projects or branding proposals, I always get excited.

Q Who is a creative you admire?

A post from @saranyen always fascinates me. Also, @abstractsunday and @salmond.lab, their creative viewpoint are so humorous and cool!

Q Oh! and… how do you stay creative?

going out and gathering anything around you!
