Sasha Monique Lewis
Q What do you do?
I do this by deep diving into what makes your brand unique, attractive and profitable, and strategize ways for you to take aligned action towards hitting the benchmarks and goals you have within your brand.
Q What steps did you take to get to where you are now?
I graduated from FIDM back in 2010 and immediately went straight into my career in branding and design. My career quickly started in retail development and designing retail spaces. I was working with 300 locations across the US implementing proper strategies to increase sales and brand awareness. After 5 years in that area, I segued into the digital space and started my own agency: Sasha Monique Creative Studio.
Q How do you stand out in your field?
I pride myself on being a problem solver and an avid learner. I'm obsessed with learning which lends itself well to my ability to work with any brand in any industry and help them level up their efforts in a way that feels right but also elevated. I am very forward-thinking and I have a real knack for understanding my clients extremely well and translating that into the design.
Q What are you working on right now?
I'm currently working with two separate companies on brand strategy and design. One is in the works of pitching to investors for a highly innovative app and another is building a completely revised business structure for a young entrepreneurial networking incentive. In addition, I am working on quite a few sites for different service-based entrepreneurs.
Q What’s your style?
My style is detailed, refined, and edgy. I think my website is a great representation of my taste and style, yet I am able to work with clients who are a complete 180 from my style with ease. I love variety and pushing the envelope.
Q Out of all your slashies, which one do you wish you could do more often?
I love portrait illustrations. Something I took a liking to a few years ago and it's one I wish I could focus more on at times. It's so much fun.
Q What is frustrating you right now?
I'm a single mom so I would say the most frustrating part is the constant juggle and working at "off hours" but overall it's a blessing to provide for my daughter in a way that is my passion. So I guess sleep has been on the bottom of the To-Do List ;)
Q If you could hire someone for $20/hour, what would you have them do to make your day easier?
I would instantly hire a VA! Answer my emails and manage my social media, please! LOL
Q What do you wish you could have told yourself, when, and why?
I wish I told myself 10 years ago that the only thing between me and my dreams is myself. Stop worrying about societal expectations and timetables and go live ya damn life! I think we get so caught up on AGE being a determining factor of when we need to do things and it's a lie. Your path and journey are YOURS.
Q If you could talk to an expert to gain more insight on something, what would it be about?
I'm a geek for trend forecasts and industry shifts. I would talk to them about their projections for the online space in the next few years to a decade. I would love to get a glimpse of where people think all of "THIS" is heading. The internet is so complex with marketing and social media, I think we are on the brink of some MAJOR shifts.
Q What kind of opportunities/projects are you looking for?
I would love to work with other creative entrepreneurs who are in need of a brand strategy for increasing their revenue and standing out in their industries visually.
Q Describe your ideal job/client/collaboration.
I'm a creative for the creatives. It's pretty simple. Let's create.
Q: What is your rate?
My starting rate is 2,500 and ranges to 5,000 for an all-inclusive bundle offer.
Q How should someone approach you about working together?
Q Who is a creative you admire?
Q Oh! and… how do you stay creative?
Head up, eyes open.
