Q What do you do?
“I make movement magic. From slick social edits to hand-drawn doodles and 2D animation, I specialize in motion graphics and video editing with a soft spot for illustration. If Party Girl got a 2020s remake where Parker Posey swapped Dewey Decimal for Adobe, it’d look a lot like my day-to-day.”
Q What steps did you take to get to where you are now?
Curiosity, community, and a lot of failure (practice). I leaned into self-initiated projects, pitched ideas just for the chance to try, and most importantly—made friends along the way. Nearly every opportunity I’ve had traces back to those creative connections.
Q How do you stand out in your field?
I stand out by integrating techniques from fine arts, graphic design, coding, and filmmaking into my motion graphics work. This approach allows me to create visually compelling narratives that are conceptually strong pulling from multiple sources of inspiration.
Going by a mononym (like Cher) usually catches attention too.
Q What are you working on right now?
A record cover and music video for H-Dawg & The Smawg's debut album, 'A Rock 'n' Roll Fever Dream' out August 24th.
Q What’s your style?
Juxtaposing high and low-brow concepts and visuals is my favorite space to work in.
However, I'm a bit of a chameleon.
Q Out of all your slashies, which one do you wish you could do more often?
Art Direction or Styling, pulling together an avant-garde outfit for a simple errand brings me so much joy and feels reflective of the art direction process, sculpting out the details of a bigger picture.
Q What do you wish you could have told yourself, when, and why?
Every year that passes I regret not starting some kind of blog or vlog, if I had just started in middle school or something I could've ended up like Tavi Gevinson or Emma Chamberlain.
Q What kind of opportunities/projects are you looking for?
In-house or long term contracts preferred, always open to quick turn freelance gigs. I've done extensive social and digital, experiential activations, and have on-set experience.
I'm always excited to see an unexpected opportunity hit my inbox.
Q Describe your ideal job/client/collaboration.
For the last nearly three years, I've been leading.
Q How should someone approach you about working together?
Shoot me an email, preferably with a timeline and budget. Bonus points if you come with any mood boards or can tell me your favorite animated media.
Q Who is a creative you admire?
Currently loving Casey Helmick's work. They are running their own merch shop, tattooing, a fabulous production designer and set builder, their Y2K inspired illustrations are very on trend for the right brands.
Q Oh! and… how do you stay creative?
Dressing up and going out, putting on a character.
