WHAT DO YOU DO?
“I come up with ideas for video content, bring a team together to help shoot it, edit the content, color the content and create any motion graphics necessary.”
Sometimes all these things, sometimes just one of them.
WHAT STEPS DID YOU TAKE TO GET TO WHERE YOU ARE NOW?
I went to Minneapolis College of Art and Design. My first gig was editing a fishing show. I moved to LA and got a gig editing music videos for Chris Brown, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and more. While doing music videos I learned the entire process of post production. I wanted to learn more about editing different content so I took on more freelance jobs focusing on documentary style, branded content and commercials. I created a couple of my own shows, one was an advice show and one was a cooking show.
How do you stand out in your field??
I enjoy approaching ideas in new ways. A lot of times when people watch my work they're like "that was crazy, but I loved it".
WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON RIGHT NOW?
Right now I'm freelancing at Complex Media. I'm a technical director for the sports show "Out Of Bounds" and I'm the creator of the new series on Complex News called "History Of".
WHAT'S YOUR STYLE/PERSPECTIVE/TASTE? DO YOU HAVE A PROJECT THAT REPRESENTS THIS?
WE ARE ALL SLASHIES WITH MULTIPLE SKILLS, WHICH ONE DO YOU WISH YOU COULD DO MORE OFTEN?
Cooking, I love cooking. I wish there were enough hours in the day to also work in a kitchen. I've been wanting to make a cooking youtube channel to satisfy this.
WHAT IS FRUSTRATING YOU RIGHT NOW?
I'm currently adjusting to new full-time freelance hours for Complex, 6pm -2am. We shoot the show overnight to get it up in time for east coast early risers, it's been a hard adjustment.
IF YOU COULD HIRE SOMEONE FOR $20/HR, WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE THEM DO TO MAKE YOUR DAY EASIER?
Definitely driving me to and from work. I work in Beverly Hills, so I would love to have that time to do other things. Sometimes I take the metro to get in that time to do whatever I want.

WHAT KIND OF OPPORTUNITIES/PROJECTS ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?
I really like working on visually creative projects: beauty videos/lookbooks, commercials, branded content, music videos. I find these projects generally have the flexibility to be more experimental.

Anytime someone picks out something about my work and says they want something like that for their new project. I love those projects because they're giving me a chance to grow within my own work.
