How do I access the course?

The course is entirely online and completely self-paced — there aren’t any set class times, so you can watch the videos and do your assignments on any schedule that’s convenient for you.

On the start date for the class you’re enrolled in, we’ll send you an email with your course portal password. The email will be sent to the email address you entered at checkout. Once you log in to the course portal, click the Menu button in the top left corner to access all the videos, get the Resources, and join the Discord server. Sometimes our emails get mis-labeled and skip your inbox, so make sure to check all your email folders, including Spam, Promotions, and Junk. If you still can’t find it, email us at hello@ilovecreatives.com and we’ll get it sorted out!

How long does this course take to complete?

You should be able to complete the course in 4 weeks, working on it about 5 hours each week. Since it’s completely self-paced, you have the flexibility to take breaks and learn on any schedule that’s convenient for you!

Who is this course for?

Good question. This course is for anyone wanting to learn the basics of 3D Design, from the ground up! If you want to have a go at using 3D for your artwork but have never dared to take the jump, we’re going to go step by step and help you build confidence and skills in Blender, a free 3D modeling and rendering tool.

The course is not exclusively designed to help you learn 3D, but also how to use it in a design context, producing high quality images suitable for commissions and other freelancing design gigs. Are you looking to network and make friends? Then, it’s for you too! Oh yeah, it’s also for people who like to have fun!

      I want to get into 3D design, but I don't know how.
    
      I’m drawn to learning 3D tools and I love the visual possibilities they allow for, but every time I download any 3D software I can't get past the splash screen. Help! 🙃
    
      I want to create Digital Art.
    
     I have a love for the fine arts and am fascinated with the scope of digital art. I want an outlet where I can explore in literally another dimension. Most 3D artists don’t have the style or materials that I’m interested in.
    
      I'm an Advertising Art Director.
    
      Clients are consistently asking for more concepts using 3D. While I might not be the final artist, I do want to pitch and understand 3D capabilities.
    
      I'm a Product Designer.
    
      I’ve always relied on other 3D artists for brand collateral, 3D spaces, and product designs. I want to have more control of the design process or at least be able to go in and iterate faster.

Do I need to understand design to take this course?

Nope! We made this course for someone who has never used a design tool or used any kind of 3D software. We’re starting from the beginning.

Do 3D tools (and this course) need a powerful computer?

No! Not that powerful. Although having a beefy machine definitely helps, and will result in a better experience, it doesn’t have to be a supercomputer, a little patience and any computer from the last 10 years will do. You will have to wait a little longer for renders to complete, and some complex in-software tools may be a little slow, but it will all work nonetheless!

What equipment do I need to take this course?

You’ll need a computer and WiFi / Internet access. Aside from your laptop or desktop, make sure to have a mouse with a wheel with you! You could work with 3D tools using a trackpad or a Magic Mouse, but it’s definitely much harder.

How is this course different from other courses?

At ilovecreatives we’re all about edutainment (that’s if education & entertainment had a baby), which is why we wanted to teach you 3D Design in the most fun way possible. Our goal is to make you LOVE modeling, lighting, setting a scene, and everything 3D.

We take extra time to make this course as edu-taining as possible by (1) making the videos FUN, (2) sharing relevant, real-world experiences vs. just giving you general information, and (3) designing exercises that you’ll actually be able to apply right away — because learning is way more fun when you can actually do something with it.

Not to mention we have a Discord community where you’ll have the chance to chat and network with other students (from this course and all our other courses)!

Do you offer a payment plan?

Yes! You won't be able to "graduate" the course until all the payments are complete, but you can work through all of the content. Here’s the payment plan.

What is your refund policy?

We are happy to do a partial refund within 7 days of purchase if you mistakenly purchased the course and have not started watching any of the videos. Once you start watching the videos, we won’t be able to refund your purchase.

A lot of the 3D Blender tutorial content is geared towards a style that did not speak to me. I didn't realise how much of a mental block that was until I started doing the course which invited such a playful fun world. The best thing this course gave me was confidence. I'm a Graphic Designer and for 5 or more years I saw 3D Design as something super hard and I felt like only exceptionally talented and dedicated people can do it, however this course showed me that there's nothing to be afraid of, on the contrary - it's supposed to be super exciting. The confidence of playing around with the materials is everything. It's not just about the tutorials, there are a bunch of tutorials out there - it's more about an amazing environment where in every detail you can see that people thought this through - somebody worked very hard to make everything work so comfortably for you. I literally became obsessed with Blender thanks to this course and the fact that Alex was able to break concepts down to be easily digestible for a true beginner. I kept testing my limits through trial and error every single day and whenever I had any questions, Alex made sure to clarify everything for me and knew how to solve any single issue I was facing.

I'm finally able to navigate Blender comfortably on my own and apply all the concepts that I've learned to create new designs in less than 2 months from first starting the course. I'm also able to follow other tutorials with much more ease. If you're someone who loves testing their potential, learning, and experimenting with different design tools and techniques but lacks the structure and discipline to fully learn on your own, I highly recommend investing in this course since it's catered for creatives like us.
