Clean Origin is looking for an Art Director to lead creative, engaging and culturally relevant initiatives for marketing campaigns of all shapes and sizes, spanning digital media, traditional media, and in-store support. Responsibilities

  • Help lead and shape the evolution of the Clean Origin brand and champion the value of design within and across the company, mentoring the team to produce inspiring and effective results.

  • Set clear design goals and deliverables, provide direct feedback to keep projects moving, and collaborate across teams with project managers, copywriters, marketing specialists, and business owners.

  • Understand and work within existing and future brand guidelines to extend the brand aesthetic across all marketing channels.

  • Conceptualize, plan and direct photography and video for digital, pre-production and post-production.

  • Keep your eyes on consistency across all projects and platforms, following brand guidelines and creating a cohesive experience across all touchpoints

  • Elevate the design aesthetic of digital deliverables while ensuring brand integrity and maintaining cohesive, consistent customer experiences.

  • Evaluate customer data to drive decisions in partnership with customer analytics, site merchandising, and marketing.

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, keeping creative files organized and accessible to the wider team.

  • Partners effectively with UX and CRM teams to understand and explore user testing opportunities (both qualitative and quantitative).

  • Collaborates with marketing, site merchandising, site production, copywriting and brand counterparts to achieve business and customer strategy objectives.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts or equivalent.

  • 7+ years digital design experience, including ecommerce and digital marketing.

  • Organized and entrepreneurial, with the drive to refine your projects from concept all the way to completion.

  • A big-picture thinker who’s also ultra-detail-oriented, with impeccable taste and a portfolio of work that marries concept, photography, art direction, design, digital, and video storytelling.

  • Fluent in design, fashion, editorial, film, tech, and retail trends, as well as visual history and classic references—and able to pull from that body of knowledge to ideate, cite visual references, and create beautiful mood boards and mock-ups.

  • Comfortable adapting to shifting priorities and making careful but efficient decisions in the face of tight deadlines (you’re not afraid to push boundaries, but also mindful of budgets and production realities).
    Experience with incorporating motion graphics, animation, and video into digital marketing.

  • Strong relationship-building skills, the ability to coach other designers and a track record of successfully working collaboratively across teams.

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and other standard industry software, with experience in digital and print production.

  • A respectful team player who can motivate, mentor, and collaborate with others, and who’s at ease presenting ideas to team members at all levels of the company.

  • Experience in managing multiple complex creative projects with a demonstrated ability to adapt to changing business needs.

  • Excellent presentation, communication, organizational agility, problem-solving skills, and thorough attention to detail.

  • Retail / Fashion / Luxury / Beauty industry experience strongly preferred.
