Looking for Freelance Curriculum Video Editors

Freelance / Remote — Contract / Project Based

We are looking for Curriculum Video Editors. This position will be responsible for editing long-form video content with our online course production team. And when we say long-form, we're talking 3-15 hours worth of curriculum. The person right for this job loves learning (and teaching) and is excited to dive into a subject they might have little experience with.

We find that story producers, podcast editors, and documentary editors do best in this position as they can creatively edit a lot of information in a clear, concise way.

What You'll Do:

  • Edit raw video footage and audio files; ensure all course content is accurate, up-to-date, and meets the highest quality standards.

  • Integrate additional video assets such as graphic elements, animation, music, and special effects.

  • Collaborate closely with the creative and production departments to ensure videos meet their needs.

  • Directly report to the Course Producer and Art Director🕴🏼

    • 1x weekly production status call

Requirements:

  • A passion for creating quality education content, likes to create stories through their editing with a sense of humor at the forefront.

  • Good communication and collaboration skills 💬

  • Respects and meets deadlines 📅  don’t leave us hanging! Timelines can sometimes be flexible across projects, so this role will need to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

  • Positive attitude and EXCITED to jump in where needed ✍🏼

  • Ability to take direction and explore independently 🧠 While we’ll be there to guide you, we want you to take it and go! We’re looking for someone that’s self-motivated.
