Savas is looking for an incredible production manager.
The Production Manager will work alongside our design and custom team on our bespoke and ready-to-wear programs. This person will execute orders, perform product development responsibilities, source trim and materials, place orders, custom and production tracking, and streamline the costing process. This person will drive the delivery of the program by shaping plans, implementing processes, cultivating enthusiasm, communicating progress, identifying and managing issues, and verifying results. As a small growing business, it is imperative that our team has enthusiastic entrepreneurial attitudes towards the common goals.
The ideal candidate will own the entire production process. They will strategize with other internal teams to ensure operational excellence. The will also run quality assessment to ensure customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Manage Custom client production schedule and deadlines
Speak with factory on a daily basis, to ensure on time delivery
Send priority lists as needed to workshop & production assistant
Source and any specialty materials, trims, etc.
Oversee Production Assistant and assist w/ deadlines, priority, and to fill in any information gaps
Communicate concerns/extension requests to the team
Manage samples, product development and production process
Making tech packs for new styles with assistance from design
Maintain time & action calendar for pre-production samples
Developing, ordering, and tracking samples from prototype
Communicate with vendors on timing and action
In process of fully updating suppliers list with information/specifics for certain relationships
Coordinate action between client coordinator and production i.e. specifying what is available, and attainable
Any changes in jacket: how that affects cost, timeline, embroidery, etc.
Enter and update purchase orders for materials, trim, etc & update the Open PO spreadsheet
Manage production lifecycle for RTW line
Looking at seasonal deadlines and projections to put together PO’s
Determining what kind of assortment we can produce based on projections
Communicate with Italian suppliers on a daily to weekly basis to ensure production is on time
Identify and communicate any issues to production partners as quickly as possible
Costing
Inputting EOM COGS
Costing out custom jackets
Costing out RTW pieces, footwear, accessories, etc.
Manage costs to ensure we’re achieving the margin goal
Quality Control
Make sure custom and RTW, & finished goods are meeting and exceeding our quality standards
Spec / QC pieces as they are completed and received
Communicate any problems to the Factory immediately, and follow up with patternmaker if necessary
Creating/maintaining production systems in-house to organize, track, and execute production processes (custom & finished goods)
Identifying and resolving any obstacles for production partners Including: anything that may unnecessarily extend timelines, require too much of a lift on their end, and anything that may push production
Qualifications
4+ years of production experience
Have a good understanding of luxury garment and product construction
Are organized with a positive disposition
Have a common-sense approach and logical mindset
Have a solution-oriented approach to work
Possess acute attention to detail
Are able to adapt to a fast-paced working environment
Are a natural problem solver
Are computer literate Excel/Google sheets
Are respectful and healthy communicator who enjoys a team-focused environment
