Pound Fitness’ marketing department is seeking a rockstar social media coordinator to join our growing team! You should have a strong knowledge of the social media landscape, have solid copywriting skills and (ideally) a passion for fitness. The Social Media Coordinator will be responsible for the execution of our content and social media strategy as well as engaging, supporting and growing our online community.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Bring content & social media strategies to life with marketing department guidance and editorial direction, leveraging all types of content (image, video, music, etc…)

  • Manage social media profiles and presence, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, Pinterest and potentially additional channels

  • Analyze the performance of Social Media publishing efforts and understand how to best use social strategies and tactics to amplify our brand and messaging in attracting new fans and driving engagement with current fans

  • Proactively identify social trending moments and platform behaviors that POUND can tap into and leverage in daily content creation/conversation. In addition, explore new ways to engage and new social networks to reach our target

  • Actively engage with POUND’s community and maintain a consistent level responsiveness through all social platforms. Listen and engage in relevant social discussion about our company, competitors, and/or industry, both from existing customers and leads and from brand new audiences that don’t yet know us

  • Critically problem-solve common complaints by flagging trends + partnering cross-functionally to recommend and implement preventative measures; proactively create a better experience

  • Stay on top of local events and culturally relevant moments where new audiences can be engaged via social

  • Assist with other marketing-related tasks as needed


Experience & Skills

  • Prior experience in marketing, social media required

  • Applicant must either have earned a college degree or be in their final stages of completion

  • Applicant must provide resume and cover letter with application submission

  • Applicant should provide examples of any brand social management if applicable

  • 1-2 years of relevant professional experience in social media, editorial, and/or content development for a lifestyle brand

  • Passionate about fitness and fashion with an eye for lifestyle branding

  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills

  • Understanding of different content analytics tools and social analytics tools

  • Always-on mentality, being available for live social support

  • Thrives in collaborating with others inside and outside the company

Job Type: Full-time
