I took the Squarespace Design Course. I navigate website commissioning and editing in my day job as a Project Manager, but I very rarely get to do the fun, creative parts (which I love) such as brand direction and layout design.
Through this course I learned that I have a lot of determination...! I also love the coding elements and learning about typography pairing, and Figma - which are a lot harder than they look but I now have somewhere to go to whenever I get stuck. One good thing that came of this course is confidence in my creative skills, and feeling excited about a new path. Having the 1:1 time with the TAs and Puno with all that industry knowledge and experience was so incredibly valuable and I can already feel myself getting better at designing.
Puno makes the course content itself so fun!! Which is so important as its all self-paced. I also love that once you've accessed the course, you also have access to a whole world of like-minded creatives, inspiration and resources that you can redeem your rewards for, so your learning doesn't actually end when you finish the course.
My advice is just do it....! I think you can spend a lot of time deciding whether or not a path is right for you, but your really have no idea how it can add value unless you try it - whether its for a career-orientated reason or not.
