I took the Squarespace Design Course and boy oh boy, it was a good decision. I found the course at a time when I was starting to pursue design more as a career but not completely sure what route I wanted to take. To be honest, I had never thought about becoming a Squarespace Web Designer but I was eager for something creative that I could do on the side of a full time job, and this was exactly it.

I learned so much during the course and there are two things that really stood out to me during my experience. First, I felt incredibly proud and badass when I was able to successfully troubleshoot an issue or learned to adjust something through simple code. Puno's perspective as an educator and designer helped me approach challenges with optimism, playfulness, and dedication, whereas before, I would often feel overwhelmed, frustrated, and stuck. I realized how much I wanted to be someone who could handle any problem that came my way, and this course showed me that I could become that person.

Secondly, I learned a lot about my design style while building my own custom site from scratch. I’ve always had an idea of my visual taste and some previous design experience, but the chance to "activate the creativity!" as Puno would say, was both challenging and rewarding. While it might seem obvious, having the opportunity to explore various ideas and see them through to completion taught me so much about my individual style.

It's hard to choose just one thing because I loved everything about the course, but I think my favorite part was receiving such deep and thorough 1:1 feedback from Puno. Her insights were incredibly valuable, allowing me to understand my strengths and identify areas for improvement. Having the opportunity to make revisions based on her feedback really elevated my learning experience. Puno's personalized feedback made the course feel very tailored to my growth and development, which was truly invaluable.

I've taken many design-related courses, and this one stands out as the best by far. It's an incredibly useful skill to have, and even if you don't become a Squarespace web designer, you'll gain valuable insights into navigating challenges without frustration and learning how to activate your creative vision and turn it into something real. These skills are applicable not only in various creative careers but also in life in general. I'm genuinely so glad that I took this course and highly recommend it to anyone who's interested.

A portfolio piece and a new level of confidence! I'm really excited to keep learning and growing, and to step my foot into the world of freelance!
