I took the Graphic Design Course because I’ve been a self taught designer for so many years so I don’t have a qualification in Graphic Design. I did a ton of research on different courses before carefully selecting this one, and I am so glad I chose ilovecreatives! Once I saw the previous student work, I was obsessed. I had to learn how to design like that.

My tutors really encourage me to experiment and push myself beyond the bleed of my comfort zone. In the very early days of pursuing design as a side hustle, I would charge £20 for (just) a logo. I didn’t really understand design language and principles, colour theory, typography and all that good stuff. I didn’t realise that it is neverrrr JUST a logo, it is a whole branding identity !!! They’re are so many layers of research and attention to detail in order to translate the brand’s personality and goals into aesthetically pleasing graphics. I’ve learnt that I am worth much more when I am applying my skill-set correctly, my price has gone allllll the way up.

I absolutely adore the edutainment aspect of the whole course, as a neurodivergent individual, it makes it really easy for my brain to soak up all the information. The fact that the lesson content videos are self-paced and not live zoom calls makes it very easy for me to rewind, repeat and replay. Being able to complete this course in my own time and setting my own deadlines feels amazing. I also love the supportive creative community on discord and all the super productive sessions.

The way my levels of confidence as a designer shot right up is insane! Oh, it skyrocketed after completing the first section alone. I cannot give enough praise to the curators of the course. If you want to expand your graphic design knowledge in a totally fun and immersive way, this is for you.

One of the BEST things to come out of this course for me is getting to meet other like minded creatives. A few of us ilovecreatives’ course students that reside in London made a lil group chat just to get to know each other. We all linked up, grabbed some food & drinks and talked away, the vibes were so supportive and lovely. We've now got some co-study café dates lined up!
