Q What do you do?
Q What steps did you take to get to where you are now?
Where do we start? I quit my "successful" producer position at a boutique advertising agency in NYC to start my own social media agency with my best friend. Having studied broadcast journalism and filmmaking, I've always had a huge crush on storytelling. I want to make people feel emotions. I want our content to remind people to choose happiness, to choose themselves.
Q How do you stand out in your field?
As daughters of immigrants, we heavily emphasize our cultures and the traditions we've learned from our parents. We laugh, we cuss, we don't over think things, and we say no to clients we're not passionate about.
Q What are you working on right now?
Currently we're working on a TikTok campaign called 'Korean Uncle" for an american-made soju brand.
Q What’s your style?
My style is a mix between quality video production and raw, authentic tiktok type of content. I like to follow a broadcast format: hook, message, call-to-action, while reaching the hearts of our viewers and maybe even provoking some tears or laughs.
Q Out of all your slashies, which one do you wish you could do more often?
I wish I could focus more on SEO and algorithm changes.
Q What is frustrating you right now?
Currently I'm planning a virtual workshop for entrepreneurs and beginner content creators but I keep pushing the date back due to client work + travel.
Q If you could hire someone for $20/hour, what would you have them do to make your day easier?
I would pay them to brush my teeth and apply my korean skincare routine.
Q What do you wish you could have told yourself, when, and why?
I would go back to 2017 and tell my younger self, "I know this is hard. I know it's hard working for a scary female small business owner but one day you'll thank her for teaching you everything she knows. One day, you'll see that your fear of her was actually just deep respect. You'll take the grit that she instilled in you and shit on all the advertising monsters of NY and start your own company. Hang in there, kid. Learn everything you can and take that PTO!"
Q If you could talk to an expert to gain more insight on something, what would it be about?
I want to learn more about scaling my business. How do we plan for the future? How do we plan for the low months?
Q What kind of opportunities/projects are you looking for?
I'm looking to work with small brands that want organic social media video content for Instagram and TikTok. I especially love working with food & bev, spirits, and beauty brands.
Q Describe your ideal job/client/collaboration.
My ideal client is a BIPOC woman business owner. She/they instill their heritage and roots into their brand. They understand the importance of branding and allow us creative freedom. They love being on-camera and pay invoices on time, all the time.
Q What is your rate?
We typically sign 3mo, 6mo, or 12mo contracts. Each monthly invoice ranges from $2400 to $4,000, depending on the amount of content creation and accounts to manage.
Q How should someone approach you about working together?
I prefer they fill out a form on my website or send me an email (eurah@kamivirtual.com)
See below for a message we usually send prospective clients:
