Job Description

Glow Studios is looking for freelance comping/fx retouchers to work on upcoming projects. The Ideal candidate can be flexible and work autonomously while following direction and detail. They will have a keen eye for detail to ensure the highest quality of work. A strong artistic sense to enhance images aesthetically. The position will partner with other retouchers to handle their own tasks as well as the studio manager to give updates and deliveries. They will have the ability to maintain a consistent look and feel across a series of images.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop: Mastery of all essential tools, layers, masks, blending modes, and advanced techniques. Please note if you have a specialty such as beauty, skin, comping, etc.

  • Experience with Capture One For organizing and basic photo enhancements and processing.

  • Color Correction and Grading: Expertise in adjusting colors to achieve a desired look or to correct discrepancies including adding FX to comping projects

  • Image Manipulation: Skills in compositing, cloning, and transforming images to create seamless and realistic results.

  • Retouching: Ability to perform high-end retouching, including skin retouching, hair retouching, and removing imperfections while maintaining natural textures.

  • Non-Destructive Editing: Use of techniques that allow for reversible changes and flexibility in the editing process including providing organized layered files

Qualifications

  • Possesses strong time management, organization, and overly communicative

  • Demonstrated experience reflected in portfolio of retouching projects

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Several years of experience in photo retouching, particularly in industries like fashion, advertising, and or e-commerce
