I'm a graphic designer. I do logos and branding for clients and they often want a website. I did 3 landing pages in Squarespace and I liked working with it, very user friendly. My clients also like it cause they can be autonomous after if they want to change some details. I'm not attached to them long term, and let's be real: I like the design side of it, the tech and support, not so much!
I wanted to learn how to do more with Squarespace and not feel stuck in the templates and the boxes. I knew it was possible to tweak some things and do more with it!
I learned to trust my instinct more. Yes, in design, there are rules to follow, but at the root of it all, I like the profession because you can be creative. I love colorful, funky and over the top things, I'm trying to incorporate more of that in my own branding. Still a work in progress! But sometimes, simple also ok! It's a balancing act!
I was finally able to learn and understand CSS. With the course, it was less overwhelming than learning by myself. The lessons were simple, easy to follow and fun! Now I find CSS and code fun to play with!
