Previously, I had designed websites and handed them over to a dev team and had no idea how they came to life. Starting freelancing, I knew most of my potential clients couldn't afford my services AND a developer, so I wanted to figure out how I could serve that market. I also wanted a portfolio site I actually liked. I'd tried and failed to hack Squarespace on my own before. The go-at-your-own-pace, enticed by milestones, surrounded by community structure of the ilovecreative's course was the perfect way to get going. I was able to put my learnings to use before I even finished the course! It helped me think a lot more critically about UX/UI in my work. And, the resources and Slack channels alone are worth the cost.
Read MoreThe Video Creator Course is exactly what I needed to kickstart my YouTube channel journey. Rachel’s in depth creative process helped me organize my ideas and create new ones. Puno’s editing section was clear, to the point, and very entertaining. The last section on freelancing answered so many questions I had for years. Overall this course was super beneficial for me so I highly recommend it. I’ve honestly learned more useful skills in this class than I have in most of my college courses.
Read MoreThis course blew me away! During the last decade, I worked with WordPress which annoyed me increasingly. I like the clean-looking Squarespace websites and decided to learn the fundamentals thoroughly - so glad I have found Puno's course. Puno’s and Gabriel’s constructive critiques are so helpful - their detailed review gave me a better understanding of the design process. Thank you for this well-structured course.
Read MoreThe major difference between the ilovecreatives Squarespace Design Course and other e-courses, beside the whole FUN vibe, is that they have identified the critical pain points of e-learning and offer great solutions for all these blockades. Every time I’m stuck and frustrated with a piece of code that doesn’t work, I know there is an incredibly friendly and supportive community (fellow students + teachers) I can reach out to. When life get in the way, and I’m having trouble making time for my class, I go back to reading their tips to jump back on the wagon. And, last but not least, to all my peers suffering from the shiny object syndrome, well, this course is so engaging (read here: gamification) and progress is so immediate, that the only shiny thing is the learning curve and your own pride. Proof: I haven’t started another e-class since this one ;)
Overall, it’s a very complete platform with incredible resources about the whole freelancing experience. Something I haven’t found in any other learning platform. The ilovecreatives community is a safe, inclusive, and positive space that meets you where you are on your creative journey and empowers you to expand your skills.
First of all, this design course is SUPER fun and interactive - it's by far one of the best I've taken. For reference, I'm a COMPLETE beginner when it comes to web design and even I've managed to pick up the basics within a few hours so don't let your lack of knowledge or skillset stop you from signing up. It's well worth it and Puno is so knowledgeable at what she does. She'll be there (virtually by video) to take you by the hand and guide you through the levels until you feel confident enough to spread your freelancer wings.
Read MoreTruly, this course was so great. One of the hardest things with making this a full time gig and not just one of my many side hustles was actually prioritizing working on my site, my pricing, my process.
Following-through with the course, all of the freelancing tools, and support of the community has been everything in terms of getting over imposter syndrome and making a business that’s sustainable — not just a constant scramble of taking whomever as clients.
Read MoreThis course definitely challenged me. With this course being more hands on rather than just a deck with a bunch of information, I grasped the information better than a Skillshare class. I loved the use of video and all the additional resources within the course. While there were times where I did get frustrated, those moments really helped me troubleshoot and problem solve.
Overall, I loved the course! It’s fun, engaging, and jam-packed with a ton of information! I never thought I would understand CSS, but Puno made it easy to learn and digest!
Read MoreThe gamification of the course (and Puno, tbh ) simply make it unstoppable and incomparable. It's not theoretical, it makes you jump right to it. It's not in bits and pieces, it's complete. It made me stop to drink water (like what, is this what heaven feels like? water addict here, yes really). Plus, the community is great (I found my business bff here!).
I stand by what I said that this is definitely one of the best (if not THE best) online courses I've taken so far.

Read MoreI was able to find a position that provided enough financial stability to let me quit my old job (awesome right?!). The opportunities on ilovecreatives are by far the most interesting and passion-provoking of all the creative job boards I've seen. If you're looking for exciting creative work, ilovecreatives Community Ads board is the place to be!
Read MoreI finished the course a couple of weeks ago and I haven't stopped thinking about it, it just... lingers! It's structured in a very thoughtful way; in section 1, you figure out who "you" are, which creates a very strong foundation from the start. You figure out your style, your vision becomes clearer, and somehow your creativity just flows naturally as you start section 2. It's amazing. The support system is amazing too, you're surrounded by so many creatives, and it's very contagious. The fire just won't stop burning. Loved every single minute of it. Do yourself a favor and enroll in this heck of a course. You will not regret it.
Read MoreInitially when looking at this course. I thought ooh it would be soo cool to be able to learn how to make a website for my photography. At the time I was looking into becoming a wedding photographer but was unsure if I wanted to take that route. The pandemic happened and since we were all stuck at home and I wanted to learn a new skill. I took the plunge and honestly, after finishing this course, I can say it was worth it. I really learned a lot about my own learning process and what is potentially stopping me.
If for some reason you stop and don't feel like you can do it, the support system has been built with groups that help you stay accountable. The TA's and classmates are always there to support you. Seeing those other classmates finish the course is very motivating.
The resources that are available in terms of the extra content are included with the Q&A's, code snippet, taco rewards and expansive knowledge from the TA's. It really helps with being an all-around website designer. This is a long learning journey, but it helps to know which direction to look.
I started this course looking to help supplement my photography career but I think I am going to make website design my career and use my photography to supplement it.
Looking forward to seeing what comes next.
This course has been so incredible! I think the value is incredible and most definitely worth your investment if you want to learn how to design a beautiful Squarespace website and grow a web design business. I learned so much and never expected to get so much feedback and help from Puno and the TAs.
Read MoreThe course was really good! I was pretty nervous starting with 7.0 at the beginning as I'd only worked with 7.1, so it felt weird and really difficult haha. I'm glad I persevered though because I've had more clients wanting updates to the 7.0 sites than I'd even considered, thinking I'd only be doing new sites. The resources are great too! So much good stuff in there.
Read MoreI totally loved the course. I loved Puno’s energy, it’s completely different to actually be entertained while learning! And on top of that, she knows her shit and generous with knowledge! So good. The Slack community is really important — without it I’d be lost! Also, Erin Fitzsimmons is amazing. Thanks again for the all the work you guys have put in, you’ve created something really special.

The community aspect is priceless and your perspective in the Squarespace realm is super unique. You're also just the coolest ever and make this all so much fun. Will be singing your praises forever!
Read MoreThis spreadsheet is SO empowering. I had put off my student loans for years. I even saved $10K and thought that this meant my earning potential was higher. I had no idea how my interest rate and low monthly payments affected my future net income. I left college with $40K of debt and no real understanding of how loans worked.
Read MoreI am a huge fan of ilovecreatives. Not only has it helped get my name out there, but I have also met other creatives through the platform. It's expanded my business in unexpected ways and I have found that is attracts the type of people and clients that I want to work with.
I have found Puno's tools to be incredibly useful for me as a designer, I even took her Squarespace course. And now, ta-da, I am a Squarespace designer. She made it fun and the course is way more hands-on than I anticipated. All around good vibes.
Read MoreWhenever a Super Productive Time happens, it's one of my favorite parts of the week. I do their Pomodoro video on my own, but its effectiveness goes way up with everyone else in the session! Always a fun time too, and I love using it for anything I need to get done even outside of ilovecreatives course stuff.
