The content strategy and brand voice taught me a lot about myself. I realized how much I enjoy finding the core of a brand and the story-telling. It made me see that I have strong creative intuition and a natural sense of tone, aesthetics and audience. I used to doubt if I had what it takes to work in this space, but this course really boosted my confidence. My favorite part was planning content pillars and thinking how a brand could emotionally connect with the audience and still stand out. The content strategy part also was a favorite because it allowed me to mix my creativity and find visual direction into the brand.

I loved the part where we planned a mock launch. I took my personal social media presence through the course as the brand I was working on and it inspired me to launch a Substack this fall and create a whole marketing campaign to promote it! :) Joellen's teaching style was engaging and I liked all the Google Slides templates that I could put my own text & images into.

I used this course to re-launch a previous creative writing newsletter on video and for IG. The strategy part was a game-changer for me because I think not many clients/brands focus on that part. I love knowing about setting goals and KPIs and managing expectations.
