Within a month of taking the course, I already created 3+ websites which helped me become a better and faster designer. The assignments are very intentional. Puno & the team really encourages you to think outside the box and put on your creative/troubleshooting hat! Also, the community in Discord is always there for you whether you have questions or have a low-key breakdown.
Read MoreThis video course brought me back to the joy of authenticity. Though I went in thinking I would learn about how to make an awesome video (which I did), it was a very personal journey of understanding my story, my values, and what I wanted to bring into this world.
My advice for someone thinking about taking the course is you'll get as much out of the course as you put into it. Don't be afraid to fail, and just create something! The more feedback you get and the more you iterate on your creative process, the stronger of a video creator you will be.

Read MoreThe Lifestyle Planning Workshop was great! People were super engaged, and Puno shared some really valuable tips to nudge your professional and personal life towards your true calling. More than a rigid roadmap to follow, we were suggested a simple set of questions to keep asking ourselves on a regular basis. Instead of sticking to a rigid plan, Puno suggested building this habit of poking at our day-to-day, so that there is space for iteration and course correction at all times. Good stuff!

Read MoreI was unable to establish any sort of friendships in a very lonely period (postpartum!!!) of my life, so this course was literally a life buoy thrown at me when I needed it most. The weekly calls gave me a structure to DEMAND time for and from myself. Verbally riffing off ideas with other people gave me such a creative high that would carry through the week.

But if we're talking SDC content, I got so much satisfaction from accomplishing my 3.2 and 3.3 websites, as that's the point when I got to make informed decisions based on the knowledge from the first two chapters of the course. This is not my first time trying to make websites in Squarespace but it's my first time not giving up because I actually knew what I was doing throughout. I really had no idea where to start and felt overwhelmed, but the course has made it so easy and fun, and has given me the confidence to go off and expand on my skills. My favourite thing about the experience would have to be creating spec work and having feedback from Mindy and Sarah. Being able to implement everything I've learned in the course to create a 'real-life' brand identity has been so fun and the supportive feedback from Mindy and Sarah has been amazing. I'm still working my way through it, but I am really loving the workbook and worksheets. I also like that each lesson is short and focused on a small task to complete. You really get to see how each lesson builds onto the previous one and it helps keep the momentum going to complete the course.

Having someone be able to take a look at your work and offer advice or solutions when you're creatively stuck or just can't figure out the code was great. This isn't some static, work-on-your-own kind of course, it's a whole community of creatives.

I wanted to take the course to learn from other designers and their processes and also how to go freelance. I've been really enjoying the lessons and resources we get with the course. I think my favourite thing is being able to context with people but also those who are running the course. The TAs are so cool, kind, and super supportive that makes the experience more enjoyable and less intimidating to an introvert like me.
