I absolutely love having access to the Discord channel! It makes it so easy, fun, and interactive as I progress through the course. I also love the resources and the fact that I have access to everything online as I need it. I am motivated to take more courses with ilovecreatives after I finish my current one 🙂

The course levels break down the learning process into manageable chunks, and the support from the ilovereatives team and other course members on the Discord channel is worth its weight in gold. Having someone be able to take a look at your work and offer advice or solutions when you're creatively stuck or just can't figure out the code was great. This isn't some static, work-on-your-own kind of course, it's a whole community of creatives.

I got into graphic design by chance at my work and I recently had an epiphany that I would like to do it full-time. I wanted to take the course to learn from other designers and their processes and also how to go freelance. I've been really enjoying the lessons and resources we get with the course. I think my favourite thing is being able to context with people but also those who are running the course. The TAs are so cool, kind, and super supportive that makes the experience more enjoyable and less intimidating to an introvert like me.

You’ve really given me a new perspective and clear direction when it comes to video ideation. Also, I love the breath breaks, the calming music during the worksheet sessions, and how intentional every moment of the course feels. Thank you (and Puno + team!) for making this. The VCC course is the greatest gift…and it was actually a gift from my partner 🥰

It has been such a game changer in the way I look at finances in general. Caroline is the perfect financial advisor for this type of class, caring and kind, but also down to get into the weeds with you!

For me, Finance Friends Forever is thorough, accessible and contains LOTS of information about all aspects of financial literacy. It contains definitions and terminology so you can build foundations. But, it also contains real life examples that are discussed at length, giving insight and a dose of reality to money talks - which can be scary and easier to ignore than dive into.

VCC has been unlike any other filmmaking or storytelling class I’ve ever taken. Puno and Rachel are not only wonderful teachers - with inspiring vision and style - they really break things down in a way that makes me believe I CAN DO THIS. And I’m reminded to breathe! Honestly, when I’m feeling broken or stuck, that’s the most important thing. If I had to pick a favorite thing about this experience, it would be the office hours. I love hearing about other people’s creative journeys. I have always found the pre-and-post production process to be very lonely and having a virtual community where you can hear people’s voices/see their faces is really uplifting.

The Squarespace Design Course is honestly the most fun and rewarding yet intensive online course I’ve done to date. It allowed me to build on my skills and gradually have the confidence to make websites myself -- with a discord community that has yo back, keeps you accountable to finish the course, and you, a creative slashie and mentor, guiding us each step of the waaaay!! This opened new opportunities for me (I sh*t you not!) I just have to keep on following through and not lose that 🌈 momentum 🌈 !!

Learning about genuine engagement and not forcing connections with one's potential audience has been really affirming. There are a lot of "middle men" on Instagram that pressure people who sell products to pay them for advertising and when you have such few followers you may start to think that's a good idea, but it's not. The Instagram content planning course proves that. Everyone's perspective was niche but interconnected in some way. It was like everyone was a part of one of those Dodecahedron dice where everyone has similar interests just coming from different places.

I used to think finance wasn’t my thing, but Finance Friends Forever is helping me realize I can take more control over my personal finances and achieve my money goals as a freelancer. Puno and Caroline are knowledgeable, relatable, and hilarious. I feel like I'm getting the info I need to know and want to hear, while laughing out loud a lot. Take this course! You won’t regret it

It has been a while since I have been a part of a creative course with a small group of creatives from all walks of life. I enjoyed being able to go through a journey together understanding our own individual creative process with the guidance of Rachel and Puno. I learned so much of myself as well as pushing myself creatively and creating content in a more visceral way. I think the best part for me was hearing Rachel's insight on her creative process and watching how she creates art in the form of a video.

Siri, play "I can see clearly now" by Johnny Nash. After working with the Do the Math spreadsheet, I have a feeling as though someone turned up the iso in my life and I can see all my finances and time management habits in a new light. All those hard-hitting questions you ask yourself when becoming a freelancer like what should my hourly be, or how much should I charge for my work, can all be answered by simply plugging in your info. It really will just do all the dirty work for ya making it very user-friendly! This spreadsheet is staying in my favorites tab FOREVER!

If you have an opportunity or free time in your work schedule to join a Super Productive Time session- do it! I had put off my Level 3 for a few months because I’ve been busy with a bit of other design work and jumped into last week’s session to get back on board. WELL.. I’ve been SO motivated since then: the Pomodoro tracker has been out, Harvest is open, and I’ve gotten through half of 3.1 using snippets of time each night and going back over the work the next morning to make sure it’s all correct. I only wish I could make it every week. I highly recommend it if you need some motivation, or to reintroduce a little bit of structure to get you moving.

Previously, I had designed websites and handed them over to a dev team and had no idea how they came to life. Starting freelancing, I knew most of my potential clients couldn't afford my services AND a developer, so I wanted to figure out how I could serve that market. I also wanted a portfolio site I actually liked. I'd tried and failed to hack Squarespace on my own before. The go-at-your-own-pace, enticed by milestones, surrounded by community structure of the ilovecreative's course was the perfect way to get going. I was able to put my learnings to use before I even finished the course! It helped me think a lot more critically about UX/UI in my work. And, the resources and Slack channels alone are worth the cost.

The Video Creator Course is exactly what I needed to kickstart my YouTube channel journey. Rachel’s in depth creative process helped me organize my ideas and create new ones. Puno’s editing section was clear, to the point, and very entertaining. The last section on freelancing answered so many questions I had for years. Overall this course was super beneficial for me so I highly recommend it. I’ve honestly learned more useful skills in this class than I have in most of my college courses.

This course blew me away! During the last decade, I worked with WordPress which annoyed me increasingly. I like the clean-looking Squarespace websites and decided to learn the fundamentals thoroughly - so glad I have found Puno's course. Puno’s and Gabriel’s constructive critiques are so helpful - their detailed review gave me a better understanding of the design process. Thank you for this well-structured course.

The major difference between the ilovecreatives Squarespace Design Course and other e-courses, beside the whole FUN vibe, is that they have identified the critical pain points of e-learning and offer great solutions for all these blockades. Every time I’m stuck and frustrated with a piece of code that doesn’t work, I know there is an incredibly friendly and supportive community (fellow students + teachers) I can reach out to. When life get in the way, and I’m having trouble making time for my class, I go back to reading their tips to jump back on the wagon. And, last but not least, to all my peers suffering from the shiny object syndrome, well, this course is so engaging (read here: gamification) and progress is so immediate, that the only shiny thing is the learning curve and your own pride. Proof: I haven’t started another e-class since this one ;)

Overall, it’s a very complete platform with incredible resources about the whole freelancing experience. Something I haven’t found in any other learning platform. The ilovecreatives community is a safe, inclusive, and positive space that meets you where you are on your creative journey and empowers you to expand your skills.
