A lot of the 3D Blender tutorial content is geared towards a style that did not speak to me. I didn't realise how much of a mental block that was until I started doing the course which invited such a playful fun world. The course not only gave me technical skills for 3D but also really encouraged me to play around with an aesthetic that felt true to me. The level of detail that Alex condenses down in a fun teaching style blew my mind. He really helps you understand what you are doing, rather than mindlessly clicking buttons.

My favorite thing about the course is the community! Everyone is so kind and chill! I love the fact I can still earn cookies and receive feedback on any work. I have founded a creative studio that specializes in Squarespace Web Design! I've also made some cool internet and IRL friends from the course.
My advice would be don't overthink it! Have fun, use time blocking to schedule time for the course, if you need a break, don't take too long of one. Oh, and take advantage of the ilovecreatives Pomodoro Method timer.

I loved picking fonts, playing with color schemes, and drawing logos. My portfolio and my confidence are looking much more robust now. I feel good calling myself a graphic designer now, my current design work started looking better, and I have already gotten more freelance work because of it.
My advice to anyone taking this course is don't stress and work at your own pace. Create deadlines for yourself and then once you miss them just create new ones!

Both instructors, Caroline and Puno are such a breath of fresh air when it came down to learning the ins and outs of the money world! In the past, when having the money talk with other financial advisors, they’d tend to give me the whole lecture in lingo I didn’t even understand, instead Caroline breaks down terms like “debt consolidation” and “retirement planning” in a way that is still so FUN and a total conversation!

I took the Creative Copywriting Class right when I was switching industries into more copy-focused work, and I still refer back to the written curriculum for best practices and advice. The curriculum and the live workshop worked well together—the curriculum offered thorough insight into what assignments were and then the live (but always kind and constructive) critique in the workshop really helped me become a better copywriter. I also wanted accountability to put my portfolio together and feedback once it was live, and Tasha and this class provided that. This class is wonderful, especially for anyone with some copywriting experience who really wants to launch their career. 10/10 for both creative and practical advice.

I love how incredibly thorough the course was. The results from the class all depend on how much time you're willing to commit to it. Puno does an incredible job walking you through the in's and out's of Illustrator, Figma, Photoshop, starting a design business, and more. I will definitely refer to these lessons for years to come. I honestly love Puno and the way she delivers these lectures because they’re super casual and entertaining and so easy to follow and it makes everything so much more attainable. I love the real-life anecdotes and the words of encouragement because sometimes it can get overwhelming and it’s just really nice to have that acknowledgement. The best thing this course gave me was confidence. I'm a Graphic Designer and for 5 or more years I saw 3D Design as something super hard and I felt like only exceptionally talented and dedicated people can do it, however this course showed me that there's nothing to be afraid of, on the contrary - it's supposed to be super exciting. The confidence of playing around with the materials is everything. It's not just about the tutorials, there are a bunch of tutorials out there - it's more about an amazing environment where in every detail you can see that people thought this through - somebody worked very hard to make everything work so comfortably for you. I LOVE this course! First, Puno's humor kept me engaged and wanting to finish each lesson. Second, I loved that we had to build a few very different websites in order to grasp Squarespace's functionalities. I already knew how to use the platform but this course helped me to understand pretty much all of the different functions I didn't even know I could use/do. I love how Megumi explains the purpose behind changes instead of just showing us because it teaches us to problem solve instead of monkey-see, monkey-do.
